Samira Rashid
Group program lead, LISW
She leads the Thursday evening circle and sees adults one to one on Thursdays and Saturday mornings.
Samira runs the Thursday circle, an open conversation group for adults. She meets each new member for a short intake conversation first, so that the group is a good fit before anyone sits down.
She sees
- Adults who want to talk with others
- People who prefer a group to a one-to-one hour
- Adults who want both a group and a clinician

How Samira works
Samira begins every circle with the same few ground rules, said aloud: what is said in the room stays in the room, nobody has to speak, and nobody gives advice unless asked. She tells each member what she is allowed to share and what the law requires her to report.
Outside the group she sees adults one to one, and she can coordinate with a member's own clinician at the practice if they are in both.
